A reporter from Reuters asked the president why he no longer plans to attend a rally in Kansas Saturday for Republican Sen. Roger Marshall, who is in a competitive reelection race.

Trump replied that Marshall is "doing very well" and doesn't feel that he has to go to Kansas, adding that he will hold a tele-rally instead and keep plans to travel to Florida on Friday.

When the reporter pressed the president, who has had a bit of a raspy voice the past couple of days, about whether the cancellation might signal that he's "sick of traveling," Trump shot back: "Oh, you're sick to ask that question. You are sick."

He then went on to insult the reporter, calling him "disgusting" and "way out of shape."

"You've been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell," Trump said before walking away.
