Thousands of Afghan refugees found safety in Virginia but still face uncertainty and fear.
Of the 75,000 Afghans who fled to the U.S. after the Taliban seized power, 5,000 of them have landed in Virginia. Houses of worship, community organizations and government agencies are working in concert to assist them as they build new lives in the commonwealth.
