Singer, songwriter, and Seattle native, Tiffany Wilson's sultry voice will stop you in your tracks.
Wilson says she's always written poetry, but auditioning for a singing group at 19 is when she got her first taste of what it felt like to be a songwriter.
Wilson is one of 15 Seattle area artists featured in Crosscut's Black Arts Legacies, an evolving digital archive, highlighting the longstanding, vital, and ongoing role of black artists and black arts organizations, both past and present, in the cultural landscape.
(upbeat music) Back for season two, Crosscut is telling even more stories of dancers, musicians, performers, writers, and visual artists for the entire month of June.
Video profiles will air on KCTS 9 every Thursday night at 8:50 PM.
Also, written profiles and portrait photography can be found at blackartslegacies.com.
