Police officer Michael Slager was charged with murder.

Police officer Michael Slager was charged with murder after he shot and killed Walter Scott, a 50-year-old unarmed black man. The confrontation, which took place in the city of North Charleston, South Carolina, was captured on camera by a bystander, and contradicted the officer’s claim that Scott reached for his Taser during a traffic stop. Gwen Ifill reports.
